Recruiter screen and (for most SDE roles) an online assessment, one technical phone screen, then a single-day interview loop of four to six 45–60 minute sessions mixing coding, system design, and Leadership-Principle behavioral rounds. A Bar Raiser from outside the hiring team joins the loop and can veto the hire.

Key job responsibilities
-Architect a configurable content platform that unifies content ingestion pathways (APIs, form-based, and file-based delivery) across multiple engineering teams, replacing brittle hard-coded pipelines with a toggle-driven framework
-Design unified content hosting systems spanning pre-ingestion through catalog publication, ensuring seamless handoffs across partner types and delivery mechanisms
-Build a common error validation framework that consolidates quality checks for metadata, artwork, media, assets, and avails into a single source — eliminating duplicated logic across teams
-Drive cross-team technical coherence across Prime video teams, ensuring 100s of engineers are building on a consistent architectural foundation
-Design for extensibility — ensure platform foundations support 2027 capabilities including AI-powered creative workflows, autonomous defect resolution, same-day onboarding automation, and post-house integration points (AI dubbing, automated subtitles, predictive ROI)
-Lead system design and architecture reviews, establishing patterns and standards that scale across the organization
-Mentor and influence engineers across multiple teams, raising the technical bar through design guidance, code reviews, and architectural documentation
-Partner with product and program managers to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions with clear milestones and delivery commitments
-Identify and resolve cross-team technical dependencies proactively, preventing integration debt before it compounds
