Backend Software Engineer, Enterprise Technology Services

Summary

The IS&T Enterprise Technology Services, which enables Apple through paradigm‑shifting, global‑scale platforms and services, is currently in search of a highly motivated and results-driven software engineer. Description

The candidate will be responsible for designing and developing applications which deals in Petabyte of data and millions of transactions per hour. The candidate will be responsible for developing, enhancing and maintaining a highly scalable distributed platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Architecture, Design and rollout of new features. Design and Development of applications around data services. Evaluating products, emerging technologies and use them into projects. Responsibility includes operation and maintenance of the existing platform.

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum 5 - 8 years of experience in Java / J2EE Stack. Minimum 5 - 8 years of experience building integration platforms. Expertise in developing highly scalable distributed systems. Expertise with relational databases like Oracle, PostgreSQL and SQL language. Expertise with NoSQL databases like Couchbase, Redis, MongoDB, etc. Knowledge of Unix / Linux. Should be self motivated, must be able to grasp issues quickly and make educated, critical judgment in the absence of complete information. Good leadership and project management skills. Preferred Qualifications

Experience with service integration Sync/ASync using REST/SOAP over HTTP /gRPC is a plus Experience working with AliCloud is a plus. Experience with actor systems like Pekko is a plus. Experience with contributing to Apache open source projects is a plus. Programming in Python, Lua and GO Lang is a Plus.
