Summary

This is an excellent opportunity to work on the forefront of display technologies with Apple consistently bringing innovations to the industry. In this position, you will be part of a talented team developing innovative designs, which are implemented in products used by millions of people. The position involves a wide range of electrical engineering disciplines including power design, embedded design & architectures, PCB design, and analog circuit analysis. This is a highly cross-functional product development position for Apple’s next generation products spanning from iPad, Mac, and MacBook.

Description

Collaborate with Apple internal cross-functional teams to define display electrical solutions. Collaborate with silicon and architecture team to develop comprehensive custom silicon specifications, simulation cases, characterization plans. Partner with the mechanical and thermal teams for integration solutions, including schematic, BOM, and PCB layout studies. Develop simulation, calculation, and analytical models and hardware prototypes to prove design concept. Conduct validation in the lab, documenting and presenting results for leadership and cross-functional teams. International travel as needed to support projects. Maximum of 25% travel time per calendar year is expected.

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum requirement of a bachelors degree Experience with discrete design of either analog or digital circuits Experience in PCB design of analog and high speed digital systems for EMC. Experience with scripting tools for automation and data collection Python / Shell Experience with simulation and design tools such as SPICE-based simulators (PSPICE/LTSPICE or similar) and mathematical analysis tools (MATLAB, JMP, or similar).

Preferred Qualifications

MSEE in Power Electronics Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to present effectively to management and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a capacity to lead and inform critical decisions. Proven track record in direct HW design and meaningful architecture contributions
