Description

Summary

Apple is looking for talents to explore the next generation display technologies. The candidate must be an out-of-box thinker and eager to explore creative solutions to solve challenging problems. In this unique position, the candidate will work with the Apple Display Engineering team in Santa Clara Valley to develop new methods to improve display performance, validate system integration, support mass production, and eventually being responsible for the front-of- screen experience of every Apple device with a small display.

Characterize display performance through hands on measurements  Data analysis to evaluate electrical and optical performance  Work with team to understand fundamentals of display technology and existing workflows Rethink existing workflows to devise creative ways to automate tasks Bring up of prototype hardware and software Assist team members in troubleshooting failures to root cause

Minimum Qualifications

B.S. with 5 years experience or M.S. with 2 years experience in Engineering, Optics, Physics, Statistics, or related fields Working experience in consumer electronics, display, semi-conductor industry. Hands-on lab experience and measurement skills Proficiency in communication and presentation with English. Excellent debugging, optimization and problem solving skills. Ability and willingness to travel overseas.

Preferred Qualifications

Solid fundamentals in one of the following engineering/optics/signal processing/physics background to enable fast mastering of display technology Knowledge of display calibration and compensation technologies. Proficiency of using statistic tools (JMP, minitab, etc) and scripting languages (Matlab, python, Lua, etc) Experience in working closely with multi-functional teams, as well as with overseas suppliers. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex technical issues.
