Summary

Employee Experience and Productivity (EEP) is part of IS&T and delivers some of the most widely used communication and productivity technology and services across Apple — from tools that enable collaboration to the support teams that keep Apple's workforce running. EEP also leads user experience design and research, and manages the systems behind Apple's original content studios. Join IS&T's Services Technology team and build cutting-edge IT systems for Apple TV Studio & Production and Music operations. As a Software Engineer, you'll architect and develop large-scale web applications, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions in a fast-paced environment. You'll own applications end- to-end, working full stack and contributing to a robust technology ecosystem.

Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Software Engineer to join our dynamic and expanding team. In this role, you will be part of a larger engineering team working on highly integrated applications in a fast-paced environment. This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including Quality Engineering, DevOps, Design, and Product, to design and develop complex, distributed, high-quality solutions with tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

Own end-to-end delivery of low-/no-code platforms and/or custom-build enterprise applications from technical design through implementation, testing, and production release. Drive quality across the full development lifecycle, including requirements validation, solution design, and functional testing. Translate complex business process requirements into scalable, maintainable technical solutions. Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to define requirements, surface technical constraints, and deliver solutions that meet Apple's standards for performance and experience.

Minimum Qualifications

4 + years hands-on expereince in Java, or Node.js including Javascript & Vue.js. 3 + years experience using SQL or NoSQL Databases. 3 + years experience in designing and developing microservices and APIs (RESTful and/or GraphQL). 3 + years experience with Cloud Platforms (AWS or Azure or GCP), and Cloud Services (e.g, functions/Lamdas). Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of containerization concepts like Kubernetes, Docker and others. Experience with DevOps process automation using Terraform, Pulumi, or alternatives. Experience with continuous integration (e.g. Jenkins) and testing frameworks (e.g.JUnit). Experience working with distributed, global teams. Experience working with observability and monitoring systems such as Dynatrace or DataDog. Experience working in highly integrated systems. Strong communication, collaboration, interpersonal skills, and the ability to work and solve problems independently. Hands on with Gen AI tools.
