Overview

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to work on new SDKs that redefine how developers work and observe their services, inside Microsoft and beyond. Responsibilities
  • Develop a high-performing SDK leveraging cutting-edge technologies and best practices.

  • Understand, analyze, and translate engineering requirements into efficient and scalable SDK functionality.

  • Support and actively engage with SDK consumers, including the open-source community, fostering collaborative relationships and soliciting feedback.

  • Prove the SDK's value by reimplementing mission-critical services using the latest technologies and frameworks.



Qualifications

Required Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
    • OR equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
    • OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python 
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • Deep understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns.
  • Experience with telemetry and observability concepts.
  • Experience developing RESTful APIs.
  • Experience shipping large-scale, high-volume services.
  • Experience developing and maintaining services at global scale.
  • Experience designing and developing SDKs in C, C++, C#, or Rust.
  • Experience working with Open Telemetry.
  • Experience working with open-source communities and/or contributing to an open-source project.

Software Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across Czechia is Kč 1,338,000.00 - Kč 2,448,000.00 per year. Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
