Software Engineering Internship

As a Software Engineering Intern at Microsoft Development Center Serbia (MDCS), you will work with experienced engineers to solve complex technical challenges and build innovative software solutions used by customers around the world. You will collaborate with teammates across disciplines, contribute to real product development, and gain hands-on experience with modern engineering practices and technologies.

  • Apply engineering principles to solve complex technical problems through sound and creative engineering. 

  • Partner with engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and contribute to software solutions. 

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality software features and services. 

  • Quickly learn new technologies, tools, and engineering methods and apply them in day-to-day work. 

  • Seek feedback and apply engineering best practices to improve code quality and technical solutions. 

  • Collaborate effectively within a diverse and inclusive team environment. 

  • Continuously build technical knowledge and contribute to improvements in system reliability, performance, efficiency, and scalability. 



Qualifications

Required Qualifications 

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field. 

  • Must have at least 1 semester/term remaining following the completion of the internship. 

  • Programming experience in at least one object-oriented programming language such as C, C#, C++, Java, Python or similar. 

  • Fluency in English language, both written and spoken.  

  • Must be legally authorised to work in Serbia (legally authorised = has citizenship or has been granted a valid visa or work permit). 


This position will be open for a minimum of 5 days, with applications accepted on an ongoing basis until the position is filled.
