About interviewing at NVIDIA

Recruiter screen, a technical screen mixing resume deep-dive with live coding, a hiring-manager conversation, then a panel of three to five 45–60 minute rounds: coding, systems design under hardware constraints, a domain deep-dive, and behavioral. Highly team-specific — you interview directly with the team — with C++ depth expected almost universally and decisions sometimes taking five-plus weeks after the panel.

Description

The automotive industry is at disruption & NVIDIA is at the forefront of the autonomous vehicle revolution, powering many key solutions for major car manufacturers. We are engaged in the key areas of automotive business where visual computing & AI matters: AI Cockpit and Autonomous Vehicles (AV). Autonomous vehicles need a supercomputer on wheels; it's an AI & SW heavy computational challenge. There is not an off-the-shelf platform which stands up to this challenge, so we are building our own. You have technically mastered your field, gathered several years of senior experience in cracking complex problems and now seeking a next challenge? Join our automotive teams and apply now! We are now looking for a Senior Software Engineer, based in Bangalore, India to join our Autonomous Driving Software team.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Support bring-up, integration, and issue resolution for longitudinal/lateral assist, parking, and active safety features.

  • Map customer requirements (use cases, ODD, variants, markets) to existing AV capabilities and drive alignment.

  • Support vehicle integration: sensor and actuator interfaces, Vehicle IO / signal alignment, calibration, diagnostics and data logging / replay for debug

  • Dive deep into analysis, diagnosing root causes, and refining the product experience.

What we need to see:

  • BS or MS degree from a leading university, or equivalent experience, in an engineering or computer science related discipline with 5+ years of relevant working experience

  • Experience with ADAS or autonomous driving software stack

  • Experience integrating (not only testing) AV vehicle functions like ACC, AEB, or APA on a series production or late-prototype platform

  • Experience with how faults map to feature-level degradations (ADAS / L2+ / parking / active safety), diagnostic routines (factory vs. service calibration, diagnostic message flows), and static vs. online calibration—with the ability to support the customer on live projects.

  • Experience with log/replay workflows and KPI validation for ADAS features

  • Good written and verbal interpersonal skills - concisely articulate knowledge and ideas

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • Experience in functional development, adaptation and testing of automotive software based on various sensors (e.g. camera, radar, lidar, GPS, ultrasound etc.)

  • Understand how perception, planning, and control fit together in a production-style autonomous driving stack

  • Experience in Automotive AV application and middleware development

  • Self-motivated and work effectively across different international functional organizations

  • Awareness of Automotive Vehicle certification & standards
