Our team collaborates across product lines, supporting Hardware Engineering’s R&D teams with world-class prototyping efforts. We are seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative individual to join our Lab Services team.Description
The Lab Services Engineering Program Specialist is critical to ensuring efficiency, speed, and quality in our day-to-day operations. This person will partner with teams across multiple lab locations and time zones, driving alignment of processes, maintaining clear communication, and keeping prototype workflows moving. The ideal candidate is well-organized, collaborative, and genuinely interested in how hardware prototyping and fabrication processes work.Key Responsibilities
Manage vendor onboarding, oversight and ongoing engagement with GSM team Track budgets, process purchase orders, and manage invoicing through Apple's internal finance tools and systems Own inbound/outbound shipping, receiving, and logistics for prototype parts ensuring timely and secure processing for priority builds Coordinate outsource fabrication projects tracking timelines and status across vendors and internal teams Develop and maintain process documentation drive strategic alignment of workflows across multiple lab sites build and maintain Chorus resources Partner with Materials and Resource team in lab inventory support Support team events and coordination Coordinate across remote and international teams navigating time zone differences to keep work movingMinimum Qualifications
College degree or equivalent experience Experience in a customer-facing role Project or program management experience Ability to lift up 30 lbs without assistancePreferred Qualifications
Strong communication, organizational skills, and attention to detail Proficient in use of Pages/Excel, Keynote/PowerPoint, calendar management, FileMaker, or other database familiarity Self-starter with the ability to juggle conflicting priorities Ability to problem-solve and think clearly and quickly to resolve potential issues Ability and willingness to collaborate with cross-functional teams Positive attitude, willingness to offer help, and engagement with a large extended team both in person and virtuallyMore engineering roles at Apple
